Since 1972, Franklin Butz has been the owner and managing broker of South Fork Realty. He has been actively engaged in all aspects of the real estate business for the last 50 years and has seen tremendous growth and change in the business and in the area he serves. He specializes in investment properties and vacation homes. He is also a New York State certified general real estate appraiser and brings that depth of knowledge to his real estate career. He has served as Director, Vice President and Treasurer of the Eastern Suffolk Board of Realtors, as well as the director of the Long Island Board of Realtors.
Frank Butz is extremely active in the community through his work with the Hampton Bays Lions Club. He has held many positions within the organization and has volunteered many hours through their charititable works. He is the chairman of one of their largest yearly fundraisers … the “Over The Bridge” marathon.

Writing a mini biography is a funny thing. It makes you take a moment to examine the circumstances that brought you to a particular time and place in life. After completing a master’s degree program and going to work in another industry for about ten years, I was faced with a major life decision. What did I REALLY want to do and where did I REALLY want to live? Both of these questions were answered pretty simply for me. South Fork Realty is my family business and I am proud to carry on the tradition of hard work, high standards and honesty that was established by my father. The where I wanted to live part was the easiest part. I can’t imagine wanting to live anywhere else, which is why I adore my job. Through real estate sales, I am able to share the beauty of our area with others.
I have been a licensed real estate sales person and broker since 2003, and handle residential, land, commercial sales and leases. I am an active member of the Long Island Board of REALTORS® and have served as President and Board Member of the Hampton Chapter. I am happy to say that many of my former clients have become friends and I have a strong referral business.
When I’m not at work, you can find me at the beach with my two dogs, while my husband and son go surfing.

I’m a lifetime Southampton town resident – born and raised blah, blah, blah. BORING! The only thing not boring is the actual majesty of the township. Surrounded by the sea, vineyards, farms, world class shopping and restaurants. Trust me, you want to live here. I’m a lifer!
A little bit more about me and how I was drawn into real estate. First, I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom with my three children for 10 years. All that time at this home with the kids, segued into real estate “hobby”. I became slightly obsessed with our local real estate inventory and HGTV (yup, I know, me too). Next, I was fortunate enough to make this a reality with a full hands-on experience … building (not the hammer and nails part) our home. I was immersed in the actual purchase, permitting and design. This is where my passion lies. Well, with the kids in school and a little push from my better half, I decided to make real estate my official business and have been a Licensed NY State Real Estate Agent for over 7 years.
I believe real estate should be a joy; it should be fun and exciting. After all, you’re either embarking on a new adventure or starting over – and that should be a pleasant transition. I like to think I run my business in this positive light. I know, in reality, buying or selling your home can feel stressful, but an agent, like me, can help with a seamless move through all stages of your process – from beginning to end – so you, as the client, have little work to do.
